A delightful, cosy restaurant set in the old part of historic Loulé. Loulé, famous for it's markets on Saturdays, harbour a few little secrets such as Restaurante Dinamarquês. Run by two friendly Danish restaurateurs this delightful little eatery offers traditional delicacies from Denmark. The walls are plastered with photos of stars of Danish stage and screen adding to the already artistic and cosy ambience.
Lunchtime specials feature a 3-course meal for 7.50 Euros, well worth a try. The menu for the evenings changes every week. Try the curried herring, meatballs and lamb rolls or the Fillet of sole with almonds and Beurre Blanc Sauce, served on "wild rose porcelain". A big variety of Danish open sandwiches is on offer which includes Andebryst med red salat: breast of duck thinly sliced with finely chopped cabbage, leek and beetroot. To complement these tasty sandwiches: beer & schnapps.

O Duarte is a traditional Portuguese restaurant in Olhos da Aqua. It has been run by the same family since 1969 and is currently run by José Martins. Fresh fish is bought daily from local fishermen and is on display for you to choose.
The ambience is friendly, cosy and reflects the nearby beach with the pedals on the arches in the walls. The portions are ample and the prices suit every pocket, providing real good value! Specialities include: Shrimps Rice (for 2 people), typical Cataplanas such as Fish Cataplana and Meat Cataplana, Grilled Squids, and Steak Duarte Style.
The restaurant is popular with locals and tourists alike. If you are looking for fresh fish from the Algarvian coast, typical cuisine and a cosy atmosphere, O Duarte is not to be missed. Homemade food is available by order. Groups are catered for.

The full menu also includes Rui¦s Special Steak and every day there are different specials. Excellent Portuguese Cuisine. Often full, so go early. The prices are very reasonable and the service excellent.

It has always been a dream of theirs, since the time that that sold their UK Company, Bertie Shoes in 1990, that they would open their own exclusive Italian Restaurant, either in the UK or the Algarve, Portugal.
